Privacy Policy

Velora Pro turns your phone into a car instrument cluster and diagnostics tool. We designed it to work without accounts and without sending your data anywhere — everything is processed and stored on your device.
What we access
- Location (GPS): used on-device to show your speed, heading and altitude, to draw your trip route, and as the location stamp on dashcam footage. Your location is processed live on the phone and the recorded route for your most recent trip is stored locally. It is never uploaded to us or any third party.
- Camera: used only for the optional dashcam, which records video of the road ahead. No audio is recorded — the microphone is never used. Clips are saved only in the app's private storage on your device; they are never written to your photo library or external storage, and never uploaded anywhere. You can delete them in the app, and recording only runs while the Dashcam screen is open.
- Photos: if you choose to, you can pick one photo from your gallery to show your car in the garage. The app uses the system photo picker, so it never gets access to your whole library — only the photo you select. That photo is copied into the app's private storage and is never uploaded; removing the vehicle (or the photo) deletes it.
- Bluetooth: used only to discover and connect to an ELM327 OBD2 adapter and read vehicle data — live readings (speed, RPM, engine values) and diagnostic trouble codes. This data is shown on screen and not transmitted off the device.
- Motion sensors: the accelerometer is used on-device to detect a possible impact and automatically lock the current dashcam clip so it isn't overwritten. It is processed live and never leaves the phone.
What we don't do
- We do not collect, sell, or share your personal data.
- We have no user accounts and no analytics or advertising SDKs.
- We do not record audio and we do not track you across apps or websites.
Data storage
Everything stays on your device: app settings, your garage (vehicles and maintenance reminders), your last trip, and dashcam clips. Settings and metadata use the operating system's standard on-device storage; video clips are kept in the app's private sandbox (not the photo library). Nothing is uploaded. Deleting the app removes all of it.
Maps
The trip map is rendered by your platform's map component (Apple Maps on iOS, Google Maps on Android). Displaying a map may involve those providers under their own privacy policies.
Permissions
You can grant or revoke Location, Camera and Bluetooth access at any time in your device settings. The app degrades gracefully without them — only the features that need a given permission are affected.
Children
Velora Pro is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.
