Do I need any extra hardware?

No — the heads-up display, dashcam, garage, and trips all work on your phone's GPS alone. The OBD2 diagnostics features (live engine data and fault codes) require a compatible ELM327 Bluetooth adapter plugged into your car's OBD2 port. The adapter is sold separately and is not included.

Which OBD2 adapters are supported?

Standard ELM327 Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) adapters work on iPhone and Android; classic Bluetooth (SPP) adapters also work on Android. For the most reliable connection we recommend a quality adapter such as an OBDLink (genuine STN chip). Very cheap clones can be unreliable.

My adapter won't connect.

Make sure the adapter is firmly seated in the OBD2 port and the ignition is on (engine running is best), Bluetooth is enabled, and you've allowed Velora Pro's Bluetooth and Location permissions. Then open Diagnose or Settings → Data source → OBD2 adapter and scan again.

Does the dashcam record sound?

No. The dashcam records video only — the microphone is never used. Clips are saved in the app's private storage on your device, are never written to your photo library, and are never uploaded.

How do I read or clear fault codes?

Connect your adapter, then open Diagnose → Fault codes. Tap Re-scan to read stored and pending codes (with plain-language, make-specific descriptions), or Clear to reset them.

Where is my data stored?

Everything stays on your device — your settings, garage, trips, and dashcam clips. There is no account, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking, and nothing is uploaded. Deleting the app removes all of it.

Can I change the language?

Velora Pro follows your device language on first launch and supports English, Turkish, German, French, Italian, and Spanish. You can also switch it manually in Settings → Language.
