01 — Who we are
Velora is a GPS vehicle performance measurement app for iOS and Android, developed and published by Taha Cagri Men ("we", "us"). This policy describes what data the app handles and where it goes — which is, almost entirely, nowhere.
02 — Data stored on your device
Velora keeps everything it produces in local storage on your phone:
- Measurement runs — times, speeds, GPS route points, velocity curves.
- Garage — vehicles you add, including optional photos you pick.
- Settings — units, language, theme and similar preferences.
None of this is transmitted to us or to any third party. It leaves your device only when you explicitly trigger it: sharing a result card, exporting a GPX file, or creating a backup file — all of which go through your phone's standard share sheet, to a destination you choose.
03 — Location
GPS is Velora's measuring instrument. Speed, acceleration times, distance and the route map are derived from your location while the app is in use, processed on-device. We never receive your location, and the app does not track you in the background.
04 — What third parties may process
Two narrow exceptions exist, neither initiated by us collecting anything:
- Maps (Android only). The map view uses the Google Maps SDK, which may send limited technical telemetry (such as IP address, crash diagnostics and an SDK identifier) to Google, as described in Google's Privacy Policy. On iOS, Velora uses Apple Maps and no such SDK is embedded.
- Version check. On launch the app fetches a small public configuration file over HTTPS to learn the minimum supported version. This request carries no identifiers and nothing about you; like any web request, the server briefly sees an IP address.
05 — What we don't do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No advertising, ad identifiers or ad networks.
- No analytics or tracking SDKs.
- No selling, renting or sharing of personal data — we have none to sell.
06 — Deleting your data
Because all data is local, you are in full control: delete individual runs or vehicles inside the app, or remove all data at once by uninstalling the app (or clearing its storage in your system settings). Backup files you exported are ordinary files in your control — delete them wherever you saved them.
07 — Children
Velora does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children. The app is intended for licensed drivers measuring vehicle performance in safe, legal environments.
08 — Changes to this policy
If Velora's data practices ever change, this page will be updated and the effective date above revised before the change ships.
